In current times, nature can no longer be thought of without human action. At the same time, it is becoming less and less possible to answer fundamental questions about the futures, and there is a growing certainty that a stable view of the world, as we know it, is forever fading. If we still want to look into the futures with optimism, we must begin to work together with nature, instead of appropriating it. To enter a productive exchange we must understand that we are not apart but part of nature itself.
In THE FUTURE IS FLUID the viewers blurs in the reflection of a vertical water surface and thus have to face the question of who is now walking towards whom. Seeing oneself in the face of a flowing, deforming, ever-changing reflection, one sees oneself in relation to nature.
